With a background in photography I am passionate about art and design. I have spent years honing my attention to detail, composition, and color.
Visual design
My true passion is UI design. I love creating beautiful interfaces that are also functional. My past experience as a photographer, artist, and graphic designer have played a key role in perfecting my visual design talents.
User Research
I am fascinated with the psychology of human nature. I love to get to the bottom of users' pain points and truly understand what they want without directly asking, people tend to reveal a lot without saying a word.
Coding Abilities
I am not an expert but I do have a basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Making design handoff to front end developers a smooth transition. I love the challenging nature of code once cracked it opens a world of possibilities.
User Empathy
I am an empath with a natural ability to understand the true feelings and needs of people around me. I am great at understanding user's pain points, devising creative solutions, and implementing those ideas to make users feel at ease.
Wire-framing & Prototyping
I love the challenge of combining all aspect of the gathered research and decreeing what’s most important to stakeholders and end users to culminate in a final design. It’s like a puzzle I get to put together.
Work Style
I love working on a team every person thinks and works differently which allows us to truly devise the best solution for end users. I also work well independently. My versatility makes me a great asset to any team.
Leadership
I am a natural born leader and step up to move projects forward when necessary. During my bootcamp I was chosen as our team lead on projects because I am driven to complete work in a timely fashion to meet fast paced deadlines.
Problem Solving
With my talents of analytical thinking, innovative and creative design, adaptability, and critical thinking I am adept at problem solving. Thereby producing creative solutions to meet stakeholder and user needs.
Communication
With my years in customer service I have honed my skills in communication. Communication is key in all aspects. Being clear, concise, and empathetic is instrumental in making customers feel heard, validated, and understood.

Detail Oriented
I have the ability to look at the large picture but also manipulate small pieces of data with precision. During my Bootcamp I was charged with creating timelines as well as delegating tasks.

In order to continue the mission of PAWS, a non-profit organization. We redesigned its web and mobile experience to bring about community awareness and help potential pet adopters and donors better connect with the shelter.
Stay n' Play
An online virtual experiences activity app to help users safely stay connected and engaged while distant. We cultivate a unique experience with live instructors in a fun and entertaining experience to connect family and friends.

About Me
Who Am I
Hello! Welcome to my page I am Emily Anaclerio-Hammel. A driven designer committed to creating user centric designs to improve functionality and user experience, while maintaining company authenticity. A recent graduate of the UX/UI program at University of Texas Austin. While involved in many projects, I also worked as project manager keeping the team on task. A background in photography instilled a keen eye for details and a strong pull to composition and color. Instrumental to the rebranding effort with previous employer, responsible for creation and implementation of new workflows for back-end and front-end procedures.
