Unique professional with a strong eye for color and design. Passionate about combining the nuances of art and science to create appealing design that is functional for users.
I can't remember a time in my life where I wasn't drawing, painting, taking photos, or working on embroidery. I live for anything creative. My favorite class was always art. As a teenager, I took any and every art class I could. I always wanted to learn more, strive for better, and hone my skills.
As I became a young adult I channeled my creativity into photography. The idea of capturing a moment that would last forever but was gone in a second was always my favorite part.
Towards the end of my time as a photographer, I started transitioning my role from photographer to wedding album designer and then to graphic designer. I was instrumental in the rebranding effort for my previous employer. I worked to create a cohesive company image and implement front and back end procedures to enhance the customer experience.
When the pandemic changed the world as we know it I had time to reflect on my career. I chose to make a change in a positive direction to better utilize my talents and pursue a new career as a UI/UX designer. This was a perfect role as it combines my interest in human psychology, science, and design.
My true passion is UI design. I love creating beautiful interfaces that are also functional. My past experience as a photographer, artist, and graphic designer has played a key role in perfecting my visual design talents.
I am fascinated with the psychology of human nature. I love to get to the bottom of users' pain points and truly understand what they want without directly asking, people tend to reveal a lot without saying a word.
I am not an expert but I do have a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS. I love the challenging nature of code once cracked it opens a world of possibilities.
I love working with a team to achieve a user's goals. Every person thinks and works differently which allows us to truly devise the best solution for end-users. I am a natural-born leader but I also work very well independently. My versatility makes me a great asset to any team.
Photography has helped me develop a strong eye for color, design, and attention to detail. My previous job prepared me for this role. As a wedding album designer, I received input from varying sources to create an end product that coveys a compelling story.
